I started this drawing in January 2020 when a new futuristic decade provided hope and excitement. The work depicts a window panel in my Queenslander home in Brisbane, a ever-changing view out to a green natural world which has been embraced and helped us through whilst so many other aspects of life have been restricted. It's a view I have watched closely and repeatedly where the world beyond is fractured and unclear and perhaps broken in ways that we do not fully understand. The green beyond provides a sense of calm amongst the ever changing circumstances both at home and abroad.
