This work is inspired by beautifully imperfect hand made ceramics from my childhood, and my travels, it is created through the longing for places we can only dream of at the moment.
The restrain needed to create my more minimal works sometimes gently gives way to equally minimal but more figurative works
I am forever dreaming of palms and arches, grecian nights by the blue and white of the Aegean, the architecture of the Greek Islands and memories of star gazing are a constant in my work.
Throughout my creative life and (my past life as a product designer) I have always been fascinated by the imperfect, the primitive and the beauty within, I feel this wok possess and displays that quality, I can’t wait to paint the rest of series.
