This contemporary take on traditional still life painting is a reflection on how we have been handling the altered reality of the everyday that typifies 2020. The items depicted are a combination of our best efforts, anxieties and comforts. Making this work gave me the opportunity to meditate on the different pace we’re living at right now and the items that have become valorised in a pandemic.
