This work is one of my old paintings from a past practice, which has become my emotional healing piece during this whole lockdown period in my studio. I don't paint still life anymore, however my eye always rests on this piece whenever I seek for peace and serenity to anchor my floating mind in this chaotic and uncertain period of time. Its stillness draws me into the past time where the normality existed that I used to do things...without any doubt of losing them. This piece 'Still yet' is a living still life in my space which has been such a comforting company, calmly and quietly moving me forward.
