‘Still Life with Geraniums’ is an imagined altar arrangement inspired by the beauty of a flower. It was conceived during that magical time in winter when colourful blooms begin to emerge, a hopeful sign of life to come. It is a moment of positive contemplation; an offering of beauty and appreciation.
The organic textures featured in this work represent a new and liberating approach to my mark making process, a deliberate departure from control and perfectionism. Art is forever teaching me valuable lessons to take into life.
More than ever, I look to capture little moments like these as opportunities for gratitude and mindfulness - it brings me great inner stillness and peace.
