My brother died two weeks ago from covid at the age of 52 in South Africa. I live in Australia. Many sent me flowers, but due to Melbourne lockdown, I was unable to receive any visitors to bring me comfort. In the absence of this, I painted a different set of the flowers each day to mark and remember the moment and to release some of the experience onto paper.
