Having had to fly to Malaysia to stay with my family during these trying times, I found myself in a constant state of anxiety about the change and uncertainty of the situation. Despite everything though, being back in my childhood home surrounded by décor as old as I am, brought about a comforting familiarity that has aided me in dealing with everything. The permanence of these antiques has not only allowed me to revisit my roots, but it also kept me grounded in knowing that regardless of everything, some things stay the way they are no matter what.
