I used to do a lot of plein-air paintings because nature has been giving me so much inspiration. And painting in physical locations is always a great experience. However, due to the pandemic this year I couldn't do it as much.

There are many negative emotions involved during the lockdown period where we can only stay home all day. And I miss painting the landscapes outdoor so much. However, when I looked at the flowers sitting on my dinner tables, I just felt so much calm and ease. Their presentation is simply brimming with lives. They had been nothing but a constant reminder of being calm, hopeful and inspiring during these times.

Painting these beautiful flowers has been a joyful experience. It reminded me of the experience when I just learned how to paint where I seated in a room quietly and studied the details of the still life objects.
