Last time we got out in the bush and went walking we found a gum tree whose blossom had all dropped to the ground. The tree was standing in a carpet of pink gum blossom. It was beautiful and magical. We collected a little piece and bought it back home. In lockdown 2 it sits on the kitchen bench. We can’t leave the house but this little offering is a reminder of everything we love about big skies, gum trees and where we belong. It brings a beautiful stillness to lockdown 2 in the inner city.
