Transformation is addressed through the creative process of these constructed photo-media artworks: the conception of authentic initial stimuli- in this instance unique photographs which digitally manipulated to create the final metallic C-Type/inkjet prints. This expanded tension plays between the authentic physical object and the fabricated, edited, mechanically reproducible, composite photographic image- the final artwork. These works are transformed through the collision of the real and artificial in the addictive, image saturated digital expanse via manipulation as summative, digitally constructed, reproducible images. The audience is encouraged to question the vulnerability of their own perceptual encounters and boundaries of observation through the connective tension acquired in the process of artistic creation in an ever increasingly artificial reality.
