We’re excited to announce No Vacancy Gallery is opening our calendar for applications from established and emerging artists, curators and designers who wish to exhibit in July - Decemeber 2024. We’re seeking applications from visual artists, designers, academics, performers & new media artists for solo & group exhibitions working across all media. We support independent launches, forums and accept proposals for large-scale projects & programs as well as charitable events.

For our 2024 programming we’re looking to work with artists displaying an ongoing commitment to development and growth of their practice. We hope to program a broad range of exhibitions with applicants displaying high quality, innovative, experimental and intellectually rigorous bodies of work.

Through 15 years of proud independence we pride ourselves on our flexibility and accessibility, providing a central and welcoming environment that functions both as a platform for artists and a meeting place for like minded individuals. 

As a gallery, our goal is to provide a supporting experience for artists by ensuring your ideas come first.

    • Gallery staffing during the following opening times: Tuesday- Saturday (10am – 4pm)

      Artist / Organiser can opt to sit space on Sundays (12– 4pm), or No Vacancy staff can do so for a fee.

    • 1 X Evening Event/Open Night. (Usually Thursday 6-8pm)

    • Processing sales from client engagement through to shipping and handling of sold artworks post exhibition.

    • Marketing via mailing list, social and printed media.

    • Inclusion on the Gallery website and online profiles.

    • Track lighting, basic lighting configuration.

    • Support in producing associated events with exhibitions.

    • Assistance with conceptual development, project management, exhibition design and curation as well as pricing.

  • The gallery extends over 170m2 in a central location with large naturally lit shop-frontage, high ceilings and extensive rigging and installation capabilities. Exposed concrete floors and ceilings and huge white walls make for a flexible hanging space.

    Fees are to hire the entire gallery.

    $2140 + GST per week plus 20% commission.

    $3030 + GST per week non-commission events;

    $3630+GST pop ups/branded activations

    Our preferred hire term is 2 weeks

    Bookings 2 weeks and over receive a 10% discount.

  • A completed and signed venue hire application and agreement must be received by NVG.

    Booking Fee: 30% of the full invoice amount is due upon signing the booking agreement. This deposit is also a recognition of the terms on conditions.

    The Booking Fee will be deducted from the Gallery Rental fee and the balance is payable in two installments of 40% and 30% of the fee, 90 days and 30 days prior to the booking respectively.
