SUIT UP: [13th Feburary 2009]
20 Australian artists, 56 playing cards.

A group show like no other, 20 Australian artists, combining Street, Comic art, Illustration and graphic design.
The product – a deck of playing cards and large-scale (A2) face card geclee prints.
 
The participating artists are divided into suits, 4 artists per suit; each artist produces one face card (Jack, Queen, King and Ace).
 
Diamonds – Phibs, Synk, Reka and Megs;
Hearts – Karl, Dylan, Sheldon, Sam;
Clubs – Yok, Drew, Junior, Claudio;
Spades – Kid Zoom, Simon Childerhouse, Itch and TwoOne;
Jokers – Sean Kelly and Loungekat;
 
Border and number card design by Loungkat and Sean Kelly, Card back by Nate Holmes-Trapnel.
 
Decks of playing cards will be sold at the exhibition, selected stores and online.
Face cards will also be printed on mount board at A2 size and made into a house of cards. The card back pattern will be printed used as wallpaper for the venue.  
There will be a “highbrow” tone to the exhibition with artists dressing up and a general air of a swanky early 20th centaury cassino about the place.
